Influencer Program for Hero Wars: Alliance

Influencer Program for Hero Wars: Alliance

Boosting a Creator Program for a top 10 Mobile RPG and finding a new revenue source along the way.

Highlights

Hero Wars: Alliance is a top-10 mobile RPG of the years 2022 and onwards, attracting multiple millions of monthly active users. The Hero Wars: Alliance influencer program exists to encourage the game’s players to create videos or enhance the community in some way, or for existing content creators to start making videos about the game.

My work was always closely tied to working with influencers. I have elevated the program substantially both through some iterative improvements and a soft reboot in Q2 2026.

Top influencers under my management

In more detail

Hero Wars is among the top 10 RPGs on the mobile and web market as of the middle of 2026, and it has sustained this spot for at least four years. The mobile project, Hero Wars: Alliance, has over 3.2M combined followers across YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, and X/Twitter.

The Hero Wars: Alliance influencer program has existed for about four years, but under my supervision it has grown from around 25 members to over 120, views on fan-made video content grew by at least 10 times, and the company has found a substantial revenue source from this program thanks to revenue sharing.

Components of the program

The influencer program has the following key parts to it:

  1. Members. No influencer program works without influencers! We split them into 4 types:
    1. Video creators on platforms such as YouTube and TikTok.
    2. Community admins for fan-made Discords, Facebook and WhatsApp groups, Telegram channels, and other communities not managed by us.
    3. Game masters that make guides on their own websites or other public outlets.
    4. Tool makers create bots and websites that help players with any game-related tasks.
  2. Collaborations. These are short campaigns managed by us that act as a sort of “access marketing” program. We provide program members with in-game content on day one or as a pre-release, and they make reviews that boost the sales of that content.
  3. Revenue Sharing. Any member could become a revenue sharing partner and start earning a % on any sales attributed to them via their code.

Revenue sharing

At the end of 2025, we launched Hero Wars Hub, a web store for the mobile game & a new central place for all the in-game news. It has presented several opportunities to us. The most interesting one was the ability to create attribution codes that track purchases and pay out to whoever referred the purchase. This referral marketing meshed very well with our existing Creator Program, as now we could encourage our creators’ audiences to support their favorite video maker while making purchases on a platform of our preference.

After going through bureaucratic hurdles, we were finally ready to try this out in Q1 2026. I soft-launched revenue sharing to 6 creators at the end of February the same year, and in that month we saw very promising results: our creators converted many high-paying players into web store sales. By mid March, we rolled out the revenue sharing program to the rest of the Creator Program members.

Since then we saw further substantial growth in both new and recurring customers on the web store. It has accounted for roughly 7% of Q2 2026 earnings from the web store, which translates into pretty significant pure revenue increase.

Reboot campaign

To drive more players to convert into content creators, I launched a soft reboot campaign of the Creator Program. This event included the following:

  1. The launch of a new landing page for the program.
  2. Improved sign-up process with a new application form that looks nicer, has an ‘upsell’ to sign up to revenue sharing from day one, and has a clearer approval process.
  3. A Community hub as a separate tab in the game news and on the website, which hosts articles about the program, contests, highlights of creators’ works, and promos of new creators.
  4. Two special contests of similar format that reward players for videos or views.
  5. An automated system that sends daily reports about new applications directly to our work chats.

All of this was implemented within a month and netted 13 new creators, a 10% increase, in that time.
